Donning and Doffing Procedure for Ceros Nitrile Gloves

Donning our Ceros Pro Series nitrile gloves correctly is crucial for ensuring maximum protection and safety in the workplace. Follow these steps to ensure proper glove application:

Step 1 – Inspect the Glove

Carefully remove one glove from the packaging and inspect it thoroughly for any signs of damage, such as pinholes or tears, which could compromise its effectiveness.

Even the smallest breach in the glove can expose you to hazardous substances, including chemicals, viruses, and bacteria.

Step 2 – Align the Glove with Your Hand

All Ceros gloves are ambidextrous, meaning they can be worn on either hand. Ensure that you align the glove's fingers and thumb with the proper orientation for either the left or right hand before donning.

Step 3 – Insert Your Hand

Carefully insert all five fingers into the cuff of the glove, and pull the cuff over your wrist until the glove is securely in place.

Ensure that the cuff is fully pulled up to prevent any substances or debris from entering the glove.

Step 4 – Check the Fit

Verify that the glove fits snugly around your fingers and palm, providing a secure fit. Additionally, check the cuff to ensure it is snug around your wrist.

A properly fitted glove is essential for effective protection against workplace hazards.

Step 5 – Check for tears

Verify that the glove is still in tact without any rips, tears, or broken cuffs. If any defects are found after donning the glove, remove it and reapply with a new glove.

A fully intact glove is essential for effective barrier protection against fluids and other hazards.

Doffing our Ceros Nitrile Gloves: Ensuring Safe Removal

Properly removing disposable gloves is crucial to minimize exposure to hazards, especially when dealing with biological or chemical substances. Neglecting correct doffing procedures can significantly increase the risk of contamination. Follow these steps for safe and effective glove removal:

Step 1 – Grasp the Outside Edge of the Glove

Using a gloved hand, grip the outer edge of the glove near the wrist with two fingers, ensuring not to touch your skin. Avoid any contact between the exterior of the glove and your bare hands.

Step 2 – Peel and Hold the Glove

Using the outer edge you've gripped, peel the glove away from your hand, turning it inside out as you do so. Hold the removed glove in your gloved hand securely.

Step 3 – Slide Finger into Glove

Without touching the outside of the glove, insert your ungloved finger under the cuff near the wrist of the remaining glove.

Step 4 – Peel off Second Glove and Dispose

Using your finger inside the glove, peel the remaining glove off, continuing to grasp the removed glove with your gloved hand. As the glove turns inside out, it creates a 'bag' containing both gloves, safely encapsulating any hazards. Dispose of this 'glove bag' in the appropriate trash receptacle.

Step 5 – Wash Your Hands

After disposing of the gloves, thoroughly wash your hands following recommended hygiene practices to ensure complete cleanliness and minimize any residual contamination.

By following these steps diligently, you contribute to a safer working environment by reducing the risk of exposure to harmful substances.
